Riki Munakata
COO
Riki has a strong foundation is mechanical engineering and analysis, subsystem- and system-level spacecraft testing and small spacecraft project/program management.
He is responsible for most of Ecliptic's day-to-day technical operations and for coordinating several aspects of the firm's project-level customer relationships, staffing and facilities issues He also contributes to the firm's R&D planning efforts and to various technical contracts, including lead systems engineer on the twin LightSail 3U CubeSats.
Before coming to Ecliptic, as a graduate student Riki worked as Deputy Manager of their pioneering CubeSat Program at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, setting the widely adopted standards for this global initiative. While in this role he was the technical lead for all activities and also coordinated all related student activities in support of the program.
